Crockwell Farm Videographer – Tom & Katie’s December Wedding Film

Updated: Feb 14

If you're planning a wedding at Crockwell Farm and looking for a videographer who understands the space, the light and the atmosphere, Tom and Katie’s December wedding is a perfect example of what’s possible here.

Crockwell has been part of our story for over a decade. When Kelly and I first started our wedding stationery business, White Cottage Weddings, it was one of the very first venues we worked with. Coming back years later as a wedding videographer feels like a full-circle moment — and it’s a venue that continues to deliver every single time.

Why Crockwell Farm Works So Well for Wedding Films

Crockwell Farm is one of the most film-friendly venues in Northamptonshire.

Here’s why:

  • The ceremony barn has beautiful, soft directional light

  • The grand foyer creates a dramatic entrance (especially at Christmas)

  • The grounds offer open countryside views without feeling exposed

  • Everything is close together, which keeps the day flowing naturally

For filmmakers, flow matters. When a venue allows guests to move easily between ceremony, drinks and reception without long transitions, it creates stronger, more natural storytelling.

A December Wedding at Crockwell Farm

Tom and Katie’s wedding was our final film of 2023 and what a way to end the year.

Crockwell is stunning in every season, but there’s something special about it in winter. The Christmas tree in the grand foyer instantly sets the tone. Candlelight, darker skies and that crisp December air add a richness to the visuals you just don’t get in summer.

Katie and Tom embraced the season fully. From wearing rival football shirts during the morning prep, to including their dog Nessa in the celebrations, their day felt completely personal.

One of my favourite moments? Their portraits in the rain. The moody December light gave the footage a cinematic feel that simply can’t be staged.

The Atmosphere at Crockwell Farm

What really sets Crockwell apart is the atmosphere.

It feels intimate without being small. Exclusive use means guests relax quickly. By the time speeches begin, the whole room feels connected and that’s gold for a wedding film.

Tom absolutely nailed his speech, and strong dialogue always elevates the final edit. Add in live music from Helix and the Hounds and fireworks in the evening, and it was a perfect ending to the year.
