Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Toby White Film different from other Northamptonshire wedding videographers?
At Toby White Film, we do more than just record your wedding day — we craft a story that feels authentic, personal, and timeless. What sets us apart:
-
Unobtrusive approach: We blend into the background, capturing moments as they naturally happen without staging or directing.
-
Story-led focus: Every film is structured to tell the unique story of your day, highlighting real emotions, interactions, and details that make your wedding special.
-
Cinematic quality: We use professional cameras, lenses, and sound equipment to create visually stunning footage, without over-the-top effects.
-
Thoughtful editing: Each film is carefully edited to reflect the natural rhythm of your wedding day, creating a cohesive, engaging narrative rather than a series of disconnected clips.
-
Personal connection: We take time to understand you as a couple, so the film feels genuine and reflective of your personalities.
-
Long-term value: Our films are designed to be cherished for years, providing a timeless record that families can enjoy together — far beyond short-lived social media content.
Where do you film weddings?
Based in Northamptonshire, we cover the whole of the UK and beyond. Travel costs within the UK are included in the stated prices — we’ll provide a personalised quote if your wedding is outside the county.
What style of wedding films do you create?
Our style is cinematic yet natural, with a documentary feel. We focus on genuine moments, emotional connections, and the details that make your wedding unique. Each film is thoughtfully edited to reflect the rhythm, atmosphere, and personality of your day.
Can you create content for social media?
Yes! While our main focus is cinematic wedding films, we can create shorter edits for social media. All our packages include a 30-60 second teaser that will be shared with you within 48 hours of your wedding, exciting!
Why choose a full cinematic wedding film over exclusively short social media clips only?
Short social media clips are designed for phones and trends, but they can’t capture the full depth of your wedding day. Cinematic wedding films are crafted to be watched on a bigger screen, shared with family, and treasured for years. They preserve emotion, detail, and the story of your day — a timeless record, not a fleeting post.
How many videographers will be at my wedding?
All packages include one main videographer and even then, we use multiple cameras to capture different angles, reactions and details, giving your wedding film depth and variety.
Adding a second videographer elevates your coverage even further. It allows us to capture more detail shots and candid moments from your guests during busy parts of the day, such as portraits, arrivals, or bridal/groom prep. Crucially, it lets us be in two places at once for moments that simply can’t be missed — like the father of the bride seeing his daughter for the first time, or the bridesmaids’ reveal - usually the timings clash with groom and guest arrivals for the ceremony. With two perspectives, your film becomes richer, more cinematic and truly complete from multiple perspectives.
A second videographer can be added to both our Essential and Signature Edits, while our Feature Edit includes two videographers as standard.
When should we book our wedding videographer?
We recommend booking 12–18 months in advance to secure your date, particularly for summer weekends. If your wedding is sooner, contact us as soon as possible — we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
How do you film weddings without being intrusive?
We take a relaxed, unobtrusive approach. Our aim is to capture authentic moments as they happen. We will not insert ourselves into your day, we blend in with your guests so you can enjoy every moment, while still getting all the essential footage for your cinematic wedding film.
Can we request specific shots or moments?
Absolutely! We encourage couples to share their vision. From first looks to special readings, unique décor details, or family traditions, we’ll include the moments that matter most to you.
How long after the wedding will we receive our film?
We understand you’ll be eager to relive your wedding day, so while our editing process is careful and thoughtful, all our packages include a 30–60 second trailer delivered within 48 hours. Optional extended social edits (ready one week after your wedding) or a cinematic trailer (ready two weeks after your wedding) can also be added. Your full ceremony, speeches, and feature film are usually ready within 12 weeks and we’ll keep you updated throughout the process.
Do you offer combined photography and videography packages?
Yes! We can help you create a coordinated photography and videography experience, combining our cinematic wedding films with photography from a select group of trusted photographers. These collaborations are designed to give you a seamless, full-coverage experience, ensuring every moment is captured beautifully.
We can also work respectfully with any photographer you choose. Having originally trained with a wedding photographer, we understand the importance of respecting each other’s space. This means you get full coverage without disruption, whether you opt for a combined package or collaborate with your own photographer.
By choosing a combined or collaborative approach, you get consistent style, effortless planning, and a complete record of your wedding day, all handled by professionals who work together to make your day run smoothly.
Can we watch examples of your work?
Absolutely. Our portfolio showcases a selection of our films, so you can see our style and approach in action before booking.
